“The sense of identity provides the ability to experience one’s self as something that has continuity and sameness, and to act accordingly. “ by Erik Erikson. Adolescence can be seen as part of the process of psychological and physical changes in teenagers. Their behaviour and thoughts can be innocent yet rebellious. Their mind sometimes can be so unpredictable. It is like a surreal world planted into their mind, so weird it can be totally unknown to the society even by the parents. All those untold feeling hidden within their heart ignite through their actions, truly catastrophic. I creating a world full of sweets and desserts, reimagining the form of the world of my adolescent life, such colourful heaven full of joy, fantasies, but also perplexed and hidden dangers. My paintings came from my own experience as an adolescent that what I have been through during that period. The outcome of my paintings echo the pop art tradition and they embody the quality of comical, whimsical and surreal, which include drawing, collage, oil painting and sculptures.
